Yamaha Wolverine Track FAQs
The RMAX2 is lighter and more agile on tracks, which matters on tight trails. The RMAX4 has a longer wheelbase that adds stability but reduces maneuverability. If you're riding solo or with one passenger, the RMAX2 is the better track platform.
You can ride with confidence, but tracks change the handling dynamics. Cornering is wider, speed is lower, and you'll feel the extra weight. Think of it as controlled capability rather than aggressive sport riding. The Wolverine's suspension helps, but it's a different experience than tires.
The RMAX2 is significantly better with tracks. More power, better cooling, and a stronger drivetrain. The X2 works but the older platform shows its age under the sustained load tracks put on the machine.
Yes — tracks raise the center of gravity slightly and add about 200-300 lbs depending on the system. The Wolverine's sport suspension handles this well, but you'll want to take corners a bit slower than you would on tires, especially on uneven terrain.

Maintenance Tip
The Wolverine's sport suspension has shorter travel than work UTVs — run slightly looser track tension to compensate for reduced articulation.
